Parental Guidance

No No. This topic is no way related to a movie banner or something else. I just wanted to share all the guidance i got in my life from my parents and of course share a general opinion on parents and their expectations on children. This is one of the really tough topics to discuss in a real life scenario. I say this because, the base for any person to come into this world is his/her parents. Many top people always say that their success is primarily due to the suppourt from parents. They are 100% true in my view. A simple example, which every one of us would have undergone is here. We have crossed the stage of class 10th and 12th in our life(I guess most of u would have ;-) ). Those are really critical period in a person's life to build his career. We hear from many top rank holders about how long they study in nights upto say 10 or 12. But WHO is the person that puts coffee for the child and keeps it besides to make him/her study? In my case, I am an early morning s...

Congrats Dr. Manmohan

India has got a new PM in the form of Dr. Manmohan JI. Its a very special moment in a country's history. I just had a glimpse of his swearing ceremony and also the swearing of all cabinet ministers. A very interesting point to note is that TAMIL NADU, my state, has got about 12 Ministers in this new Government formed. Six among the 12 are cabinet ministers. I was just wondering why was this happening? Just then i resalised that this state had a major role to play in terms of no. of seats in the Government formed at the centre. Dr. Manmohan has also got some credits to his being the PM. One, he is the first to become a PM from PUNJAB and two, He is the first PM from a minority community. These two facts impressed me a lot and hence i took time to blog about this topic. Although being a very small citizen of this country, I wish Dr. Manmohan all the very best and all the best lucks to him in order to fulfill the dream of our beloved President A.P.J. Abdul Kalamji...

Qualification

As promised in my last blog, i discuss on the qualification needed for software industry in the present world. I disclose at this point of time that it is purely my vision on the industry and nothing to do with pointing against other's opinions. Most of the companies while recruiting freshers only prefer ENGINEERING graduates to any other arts or science grads. I just had to do some sort of analysis before i blogged about it and indeed did some ground work for the same. I contacted some of my college and school friends who are now working in various MNCs as software engineers/programmers/analysts etc... Sunny, My friend, as i said in my previous blog is a Math grad. When a Software company calls for freshers, it is a clear point that they mention "Candidates with excellent academic records and aptitude and attidue are needed". But they still stick to the point that they need only ENGG grads for those posts. If at all they need other grads, they specify the...

Sunny Days

This topic doesnt discuss about the weather condition in chennai nor do i have any intentions at this point of time to discuss about it. Then what else is this blog about? Its about introducing one of my friend who has cultivated in me the drive to become a software engineer in my life as a first step. This might seem strange as what else would have i aimed for? Well my aim was to become a SE (Software Engineer) when i finished my 12th. But no further steps were taken on my behalf for that. Only my Dad (thanks a lot for your push on me dad) wanted me to realise the importance of life a bit and he forced me to join a course in NIIT. Well it was 2 years long and when i was in the midst of 6 months after joining i lost half of interest. When it was 1 year down the line at NIIT, (it was at the end of third year in my engineering), the total interest was almost gone. It was for a new set of subjects and class timings me and my friend SUNDAR K (referred as SUNNY in title) cam...

Secret of Success

Well this is one of the most interesting topic i wanted to blog and share with you all. This is the reality behing my success (this word is restricted to my getting of bachlor's degree and nothing more at this point of time). So what was the real secret behind my pasing of BE successfully especially when some tougher subjects came along from 5th semester? As i have mentioned in my previous posting below(who gave the idea to blog), it was from the 5th sem that me and venkatachalam (hereafter will be referred as venki in my future blogs) were doing combine study consistantly during our end semester exams although we were of different departments. We refer to our friends about our study time as 4 to 6. Usally each of our friends would assume it as though we would study from 4 P.M. on the day an exam ends and till 6 AM on the day of the next exam. But actually the reality is different. We would start the study only at 8:30 PM in the evening. hardly it would have moved to 15 m...

Who gave me the idea to blog?

Well if you were wondering who gave me this idea to blog, he is Venkatachalam Ramakrishnan . well click on his name to go to his blog. just go and find out from there who he is. i need not describe him any more than that. We were college mates in our esteemed Institute - JAYA ENGINEERING COLLEGE . we both resided at Ambattur during our college days. We are 2003 pass outs. Actually we were friends only while travelling in bus until 2nd year. Sandeep and Venkat were really close. well, Sandeep is also our college mate and stays at Ambattur. We started to get closer only in our 5th semester when i, studying BE-ECE and he studying B.Tech-IT, had a common subject called DSP-Digital Signal Processing (great, i remember the full form of the subject). Actually many thanks has to go to Sandeep who actually gave the idea for us to get combined and study togather.....(venki agreed?) Then, after that, each semester, eventhough we had no common subjects, we used to ...

Hello World

A bit puzzled at the title? well thats an indication of my profession to some extent. This whole title and next few of them will be something to describe about me. Well the name for the blog is kept as "LIFE IS TO ENJOY". i am a firm believer of this phrase. Whatever we do in our lives ultimately is to be happy and enjoy our stay in this world. Ok let me get back to my title once again. "HELLO WORLD". well i am a software engineer and so, while learning several programming languages (did i really?) the first program would be a display of HELLO WORLD. so, i followed the same principle here. "So, what will be the motto of starting this blog?" will be the question in for all the people reading this. i asked this to myself several times before actually planning to write it. the answer i could tell to myself (and now to you) is "Let me start first, then decide on the motto". this is because, throughout my life i was so inconsistant...
