On a Holiday

Its been very long since I blogged. I am on a holiday at Tiruchi (my hometown) and relaxing myself. This has been my first vacation since I joined my work last year. Really last two days (today and yesterday) were full stress relieving for me. Guess I needed this break badly but I coulnt realise that I needed it all because of the care and love I got from my parents and friends.

This is a city of holiness.... lots of small temples... virtually all streets have a Ganapathy statue.... I feel that I miss a lot of this in my city life. City life is full of work and enjoyment. Here its a little different. All Jigudies here are really really humble. Infact I would say that these people will have a greater boys look if they come to Chennai. Most importantly Jigudies here wear "Paavaadai Thavani", a traditional tamil wear. I really feel being a native of Tiruchy, I missed a hell a lot of things here.

I was taking full rest here for two days and was relaxing (doing the best thing I know in my life). Tomorrow I am planning to go to "Uchhi Pillayar" temple.... the famous Rockfort temple here. During these sort of holidays only my theme comes to actual action... thats "Life is to Enjoy". This saturday evening we will be off to Palani to get blessings from our "Kula Theivam" Lord Muruga and I will be back to Chennai on Monday morning....

Qualification

As promised in my last blog, i discuss on the qualification needed for software industry in the present world. I disclose at this point of time that it is purely my vision on the industry and nothing to do with pointing against other's opinions. Most of the companies while recruiting freshers only prefer ENGINEERING graduates to any other arts or science grads. I just had to do some sort of analysis before i blogged about it and indeed did some ground work for the same. I contacted some of my college and school friends who are now working in various MNCs as software engineers/programmers/analysts etc... Sunny, My friend, as i said in my previous blog is a Math grad. When a Software company calls for freshers, it is a clear point that they mention "Candidates with excellent academic records and aptitude and attidue are needed". But they still stick to the point that they need only ENGG grads for those posts. If at all they need other grads, they specify the...

Thiruppachi!!!!

Yesterday night show I went to Thiruppachi. Hmmm atleast this time around i didnt feel bored. Definitely this film is better than MADHURA. Hats off to the director for trying something new... oops not the story, but i meant the screenplay. A typical film for Vijay fans. Although i am not a Vijay fan, I admire him. Lots of senti in the film. Looks like ladies will like it for sure. Nothing can come near my God's next movie.... "Chandramukhi".

A Weekend to remember

It was indeed a long weekend for me and a weekend to remember for the rest of my life. I went on a vacation (or rather an extended picnic) to Vizag. My uncle called up my family to join in his house warming and thats all the reason I needed to enjoy a fabulous weekend in and around Vizag. Here are my visits on a daily basis from saturday to Tuesday. Saturday: We went to a place called Simmachalam where Lord Narashimha is famous for, followed by another Sai Seer Mutt. Sunday: It was the house warming day. In the evening we went to Kailasha giri, where lord Shiva and Parvathi's statues are made of white stone and kept in an open place. It is a sort of hangout for the Vizagans and since it is on a hill top, we could have a view of whole Vizag city in the evening with lights. Really worth spending time there and get yourself relaxed. Monday: This was a full day trip planned to go for only 2 places. One is Arukku which is a Hill station (probably like Yercaud, not anywhere ...
