A lot has happened

In my life from my last posting. But i didnt get time to update (a lame excuse for not posting). Really I must admit that the passion for doing blog is not within me. I have to improve the skills. One advantage I have is that no one follows my post and no one really cares to ask why blog is not updated except for 2 persons. One is Balaji and the other is Venkat. Thanks folks.

Coming back to what has happned, I have bought a new bike and laptop. I have got DB2 certified, got an unofficial promotion (a hierarchial move with no change in pay) in workplace. A little explaination on these items below.

Bike - A brand new black Honda Unicorn. Yo man, it rocks.... "Na na naa naa na na naa naa... Ride onnnnnnnnn". A bike which can get as smooth as it can, no big fuss making engine sound. Its really a good bachlor's bike.

Laptop - After a long hitch and damn things that happened in my old comp at home, I finally decided to buy an Acer Laptop. I am posting this only from that. I feel proud to own this bcos, its really fast one than any other comparable laptops. Its an ACER T4610 travel mate laptop.

DB2 Certification - I have got DB2 certified. I became IBM-DB2 certified database Associate. Its an easy cerificate to get for any pro worked in DB2. As you might expect, it was not easy for me to get this thru although I work in this product. It was back in November.

Unofficial Promotion - Well this is a great acheivement in my life. I have become a Module leader handling 1 resource as of now. The comediest part is, I am the person who has been in my project for a long time. They value my experience a lot. So I have to accept that I have some knowledge.

So I suppose once again while signing off I am promoising to keep this blog updated. As long as no one is reading my blog, I can keep this promise ;-). If you are reading this blog, a big thanks to you! Have fun!

Qualification

As promised in my last blog, i discuss on the qualification needed for software industry in the present world. I disclose at this point of time that it is purely my vision on the industry and nothing to do with pointing against other's opinions. Most of the companies while recruiting freshers only prefer ENGINEERING graduates to any other arts or science grads. I just had to do some sort of analysis before i blogged about it and indeed did some ground work for the same. I contacted some of my college and school friends who are now working in various MNCs as software engineers/programmers/analysts etc... Sunny, My friend, as i said in my previous blog is a Math grad. When a Software company calls for freshers, it is a clear point that they mention "Candidates with excellent academic records and aptitude and attidue are needed". But they still stick to the point that they need only ENGG grads for those posts. If at all they need other grads, they specify the...

Thiruppachi!!!!

Yesterday night show I went to Thiruppachi. Hmmm atleast this time around i didnt feel bored. Definitely this film is better than MADHURA. Hats off to the director for trying something new... oops not the story, but i meant the screenplay. A typical film for Vijay fans. Although i am not a Vijay fan, I admire him. Lots of senti in the film. Looks like ladies will like it for sure. Nothing can come near my God's next movie.... "Chandramukhi".

A Weekend to remember

It was indeed a long weekend for me and a weekend to remember for the rest of my life. I went on a vacation (or rather an extended picnic) to Vizag. My uncle called up my family to join in his house warming and thats all the reason I needed to enjoy a fabulous weekend in and around Vizag. Here are my visits on a daily basis from saturday to Tuesday. Saturday: We went to a place called Simmachalam where Lord Narashimha is famous for, followed by another Sai Seer Mutt. Sunday: It was the house warming day. In the evening we went to Kailasha giri, where lord Shiva and Parvathi's statues are made of white stone and kept in an open place. It is a sort of hangout for the Vizagans and since it is on a hill top, we could have a view of whole Vizag city in the evening with lights. Really worth spending time there and get yourself relaxed. Monday: This was a full day trip planned to go for only 2 places. One is Arukku which is a Hill station (probably like Yercaud, not anywhere ...
