When Travelling long is the only option...

If you are one of those unfortunate souls who have to travel about 3 hours a day to reach your office and come back, dont worry. I am one among you. I travel approximately 3.5 hours a day to and fro office. Then why this blog? I am in a mood to suggest what all activities that can be done when you travel. If you are not using comfortable means (like office bus) to travel then the suggestions given below are of no use to you.

Pick up a pocket radio:
This is one of the most important thing one should never forget especially if you are a music buff. As I am in Chennai, I have previlage of 4 FM stations to which one can tune and listen to one's favourite music.

Start grouping friends:
Make sure you have got a good group of friends who travel atleast 2/3 of the distance you travel. Note that have a group of friends so that you may catch hold of atleast one each day to have a chat, discussion, debate and some games.

Try catching a girl/guy:
This is what most of my collegues do. They start their usual kadalais once they enter the bus ans never stop. I have even seen cases where they will miss their stop. Ayyo naan vayitherichal la ezhuthala. Nejamave nadakkuthu.

Catch a window seat:
This is the last option you may choose if all of the above steps fail. You have to be very alert while you are sitting near window. You may choose to sight the girls/guys in the bus stops that you come across during your travel. Paathu sight adinga paa romba jollu vidaathinga.

Take rest:
This is the worst option but the only option for male chauvinists and feminists who dont like music also. You may plan to sleep and get fresh. But one small request to you folks. Please dont fall on the person sitting next to you or catch a window seat making the person who is ready for sight seeing disappointed.

If you have any other suggestion, please drop in as comments. I would love to follow. One more thing, reading is also one common thing which I see but I didnt mention because I hate reading ;-).

Qualification

As promised in my last blog, i discuss on the qualification needed for software industry in the present world. I disclose at this point of time that it is purely my vision on the industry and nothing to do with pointing against other's opinions. Most of the companies while recruiting freshers only prefer ENGINEERING graduates to any other arts or science grads. I just had to do some sort of analysis before i blogged about it and indeed did some ground work for the same. I contacted some of my college and school friends who are now working in various MNCs as software engineers/programmers/analysts etc... Sunny, My friend, as i said in my previous blog is a Math grad. When a Software company calls for freshers, it is a clear point that they mention "Candidates with excellent academic records and aptitude and attidue are needed". But they still stick to the point that they need only ENGG grads for those posts. If at all they need other grads, they specify the...

Thiruppachi!!!!

Yesterday night show I went to Thiruppachi. Hmmm atleast this time around i didnt feel bored. Definitely this film is better than MADHURA. Hats off to the director for trying something new... oops not the story, but i meant the screenplay. A typical film for Vijay fans. Although i am not a Vijay fan, I admire him. Lots of senti in the film. Looks like ladies will like it for sure. Nothing can come near my God's next movie.... "Chandramukhi".

A Weekend to remember

It was indeed a long weekend for me and a weekend to remember for the rest of my life. I went on a vacation (or rather an extended picnic) to Vizag. My uncle called up my family to join in his house warming and thats all the reason I needed to enjoy a fabulous weekend in and around Vizag. Here are my visits on a daily basis from saturday to Tuesday. Saturday: We went to a place called Simmachalam where Lord Narashimha is famous for, followed by another Sai Seer Mutt. Sunday: It was the house warming day. In the evening we went to Kailasha giri, where lord Shiva and Parvathi's statues are made of white stone and kept in an open place. It is a sort of hangout for the Vizagans and since it is on a hill top, we could have a view of whole Vizag city in the evening with lights. Really worth spending time there and get yourself relaxed. Monday: This was a full day trip planned to go for only 2 places. One is Arukku which is a Hill station (probably like Yercaud, not anywhere ...
