First weekend outing in US

Last Saturday was the first weekend outing (oor sutha kelambittan da) in US. I went, or rather, we a group of Infoscions in Pittsburgh went on drive to Baltimore. There is an aquarium and Murugan temple there. The aquarium was very big and world class. But the only problem for me was I wasnt interested in such things :-(. Anyway, sitting idle at home is worser than visiting such places. Hence no regrets. There was a dolphin show in the aquarium and it shattered all the hopes i had over it. It wasnt good at all, to be frank it was pathetic.

Murugan Temple visit was a good relief. It was a medium size temple and had Lord Shiva, Amman and Vinayagar also. The temple was free and we had a great darshan. Got a banana as prasadam. Pleasure was what I felt when I sat in the car. The roads are amazing and considering that we travelled 8+ hours totally, there was no feeling of getting tired. Superb outing. Will last for long in my mind as it was my first outing in a foreign country.

Oh yeah... I can hear you where the photos are (you must be cursing me if you werent expecting). Well its in process, will upload them soon!!!

Qualification

As promised in my last blog, i discuss on the qualification needed for software industry in the present world. I disclose at this point of time that it is purely my vision on the industry and nothing to do with pointing against other's opinions. Most of the companies while recruiting freshers only prefer ENGINEERING graduates to any other arts or science grads. I just had to do some sort of analysis before i blogged about it and indeed did some ground work for the same. I contacted some of my college and school friends who are now working in various MNCs as software engineers/programmers/analysts etc... Sunny, My friend, as i said in my previous blog is a Math grad. When a Software company calls for freshers, it is a clear point that they mention "Candidates with excellent academic records and aptitude and attidue are needed". But they still stick to the point that they need only ENGG grads for those posts. If at all they need other grads, they specify the...

Thiruppachi!!!!

Yesterday night show I went to Thiruppachi. Hmmm atleast this time around i didnt feel bored. Definitely this film is better than MADHURA. Hats off to the director for trying something new... oops not the story, but i meant the screenplay. A typical film for Vijay fans. Although i am not a Vijay fan, I admire him. Lots of senti in the film. Looks like ladies will like it for sure. Nothing can come near my God's next movie.... "Chandramukhi".

A Weekend to remember

It was indeed a long weekend for me and a weekend to remember for the rest of my life. I went on a vacation (or rather an extended picnic) to Vizag. My uncle called up my family to join in his house warming and thats all the reason I needed to enjoy a fabulous weekend in and around Vizag. Here are my visits on a daily basis from saturday to Tuesday. Saturday: We went to a place called Simmachalam where Lord Narashimha is famous for, followed by another Sai Seer Mutt. Sunday: It was the house warming day. In the evening we went to Kailasha giri, where lord Shiva and Parvathi's statues are made of white stone and kept in an open place. It is a sort of hangout for the Vizagans and since it is on a hill top, we could have a view of whole Vizag city in the evening with lights. Really worth spending time there and get yourself relaxed. Monday: This was a full day trip planned to go for only 2 places. One is Arukku which is a Hill station (probably like Yercaud, not anywhere ...
