Exciting Hyderabad Trip

Its always exciting to go around places you have never visited before. But the excitement doubles when you meet your best friend. In the name of meeting my friend Sundar, I got an opportunity to explore some major places in Hyd. Rock city, as it is being named, Hyd is surrounded by plenty of rock, which is really evident only when you look for it.

I could cover only 4 places, out of which this photo pasted here would identify to all of you as Charminar. Although it looks really beautiful in the picture, the area around it and this structure as such is really really dirty. I never expected this place to be so very badly maintained. When I enquired, the blame is made on population and pollution. I am not a polititian or a person with power to change this locality.

Second place which was absolutely mind blowing was a museum. Its named as Salarjung. Some of the items maintained in this museum has great historical importance. It takes 8 full hours to completely go around this. So those who plan to go, please plan properly. Due to lack of time, we just went through important stuff and returned.

Another good attraction was Birla Mandir. I had been to different Birla Mandirs around Tamil Nadu and when I try to compare them with this, it falls below the standards. Somehow you feel that this one is commercialized completely. I never felt such things in the Balaji Temple maintained by the same group in Valparai. Probably times have changed and even Valparai temple also is like this. Its long since I went there. One great thing here is the view you get over the Hussain Sagar lake. Truly amazing, but unfortunately you are not allowed to carry camera or cellphone in the premisis. I am missing a beautiful photo of mine behind this fantastic scenery.

Last but not least is the Golconda Fort. Truly amazing monument build several 100 years ago. What astonishes everyone is the planning that has been made to build this fort and its architecture. The top view of the city from the peak of this fort is one thing no one should miss when going to Hyd. It takes approximately 3 hours to explore this place completely.

After a tiring trip of different places, we had our much awaited get to gather party. Going around places is more fun when your best friend is around you. I had to convince my parents and get scolding from them since I had to go out of their presence for 2 full days. About 10% of my vacation was spent in Hyd. Truly refreshing apart from the archanas from both Dad and Mom. :-)

Qualification

As promised in my last blog, i discuss on the qualification needed for software industry in the present world. I disclose at this point of time that it is purely my vision on the industry and nothing to do with pointing against other's opinions. Most of the companies while recruiting freshers only prefer ENGINEERING graduates to any other arts or science grads. I just had to do some sort of analysis before i blogged about it and indeed did some ground work for the same. I contacted some of my college and school friends who are now working in various MNCs as software engineers/programmers/analysts etc... Sunny, My friend, as i said in my previous blog is a Math grad. When a Software company calls for freshers, it is a clear point that they mention "Candidates with excellent academic records and aptitude and attidue are needed". But they still stick to the point that they need only ENGG grads for those posts. If at all they need other grads, they specify the...

Thiruppachi!!!!

Yesterday night show I went to Thiruppachi. Hmmm atleast this time around i didnt feel bored. Definitely this film is better than MADHURA. Hats off to the director for trying something new... oops not the story, but i meant the screenplay. A typical film for Vijay fans. Although i am not a Vijay fan, I admire him. Lots of senti in the film. Looks like ladies will like it for sure. Nothing can come near my God's next movie.... "Chandramukhi".

A Weekend to remember

It was indeed a long weekend for me and a weekend to remember for the rest of my life. I went on a vacation (or rather an extended picnic) to Vizag. My uncle called up my family to join in his house warming and thats all the reason I needed to enjoy a fabulous weekend in and around Vizag. Here are my visits on a daily basis from saturday to Tuesday. Saturday: We went to a place called Simmachalam where Lord Narashimha is famous for, followed by another Sai Seer Mutt. Sunday: It was the house warming day. In the evening we went to Kailasha giri, where lord Shiva and Parvathi's statues are made of white stone and kept in an open place. It is a sort of hangout for the Vizagans and since it is on a hill top, we could have a view of whole Vizag city in the evening with lights. Really worth spending time there and get yourself relaxed. Monday: This was a full day trip planned to go for only 2 places. One is Arukku which is a Hill station (probably like Yercaud, not anywhere ...
