Olympic Fever

Just saw some gr8 actions in Olympics today. The sportspersons, the fans, the flags of different countries... oh it needs a whole day or even a week to explain it. Lemme put in all that I saw in these small paras.
I could feel the pressure on the sportspersons to perform well. Every time a person wins, they noy only get medals, awards, recognition etc... but most importantly they get thier National Anthem sung and their National flag to be risen.... One could feel their body language which carries the entire nation's responsibility and expectation on their shoulders.
The fans... I saw a cycling race today and it was won by an Italian. After the game was over, the winner was taken for an interview along side of the road. I saw a hardcore cycling fan just listening to the winner's talking in a manner that he started chewing his bubble gum in full tension and full speed. He was more excited and thrilled than the actual winner. I could feel that the fan was more happy that his fellow countryman won it. I am sure I didnt put the essence of what I saw today. But still couldnt resist blogging.

The range of games I saw was Boxing, Cycling, TT, Badminton, Swimming and shooting. All sports are unique and having different styles on their own. One more thing notalble thing was that in the hoardings that display the olympics symbol, it was written "Welcome Back" signifying that Athens hosted the mother of all Olympic championship. Its gr8.

One more important thing... Hats off to DD sports for such excellent coverage. Thank God no pay channels got the rights to show olympics. Otherwise we ppl at chennai would be very sad on missing such actions.... Hope the Indian crew bring more medals.... Happy Independence Day!!!! JAIHIND.

Qualification

As promised in my last blog, i discuss on the qualification needed for software industry in the present world. I disclose at this point of time that it is purely my vision on the industry and nothing to do with pointing against other's opinions. Most of the companies while recruiting freshers only prefer ENGINEERING graduates to any other arts or science grads. I just had to do some sort of analysis before i blogged about it and indeed did some ground work for the same. I contacted some of my college and school friends who are now working in various MNCs as software engineers/programmers/analysts etc... Sunny, My friend, as i said in my previous blog is a Math grad. When a Software company calls for freshers, it is a clear point that they mention "Candidates with excellent academic records and aptitude and attidue are needed". But they still stick to the point that they need only ENGG grads for those posts. If at all they need other grads, they specify the...

Thiruppachi!!!!

Yesterday night show I went to Thiruppachi. Hmmm atleast this time around i didnt feel bored. Definitely this film is better than MADHURA. Hats off to the director for trying something new... oops not the story, but i meant the screenplay. A typical film for Vijay fans. Although i am not a Vijay fan, I admire him. Lots of senti in the film. Looks like ladies will like it for sure. Nothing can come near my God's next movie.... "Chandramukhi".

A Weekend to remember

It was indeed a long weekend for me and a weekend to remember for the rest of my life. I went on a vacation (or rather an extended picnic) to Vizag. My uncle called up my family to join in his house warming and thats all the reason I needed to enjoy a fabulous weekend in and around Vizag. Here are my visits on a daily basis from saturday to Tuesday. Saturday: We went to a place called Simmachalam where Lord Narashimha is famous for, followed by another Sai Seer Mutt. Sunday: It was the house warming day. In the evening we went to Kailasha giri, where lord Shiva and Parvathi's statues are made of white stone and kept in an open place. It is a sort of hangout for the Vizagans and since it is on a hill top, we could have a view of whole Vizag city in the evening with lights. Really worth spending time there and get yourself relaxed. Monday: This was a full day trip planned to go for only 2 places. One is Arukku which is a Hill station (probably like Yercaud, not anywhere ...
