Cricket @ Chennai

I was there witnessing India trying to overhaul the Aussies on Saturday, the third day of the second test match between the two teams. It was a fantastic atmosphere. I knew getting tickets would be tough. Hence me and my group of friends were there at 7 AM sharp at the ticket counter. Believe it or not there were about 20 people before us in the queue already for the 9:30 AM starting game!!!!. The feeling was just too good and I am unable to find words to explain them. I bought a bus conductor whistle on friday evening itself. On going to the stadium we also got some PIPIs (hope u ppl got it).

I got a TRICOLOUR and stated cheering India in a full swing from the first ball. The first and last session of the day belonged to India. But the middle session was fully dominated by the Aussies. We had quite a few aussies in our stand supporting their team. We had got several rythms and beats going along throughout the match without any decrease in decibel level... Overall it is my third experience viewing cricket in stadium. But I would not rate this as my best viewing. The one I witnessed in 2001 between the same teams was "Ultimate" and I "Enjoyed".... :-)

Qualification

As promised in my last blog, i discuss on the qualification needed for software industry in the present world. I disclose at this point of time that it is purely my vision on the industry and nothing to do with pointing against other's opinions. Most of the companies while recruiting freshers only prefer ENGINEERING graduates to any other arts or science grads. I just had to do some sort of analysis before i blogged about it and indeed did some ground work for the same. I contacted some of my college and school friends who are now working in various MNCs as software engineers/programmers/analysts etc... Sunny, My friend, as i said in my previous blog is a Math grad. When a Software company calls for freshers, it is a clear point that they mention "Candidates with excellent academic records and aptitude and attidue are needed". But they still stick to the point that they need only ENGG grads for those posts. If at all they need other grads, they specify the...

Thiruppachi!!!!

Yesterday night show I went to Thiruppachi. Hmmm atleast this time around i didnt feel bored. Definitely this film is better than MADHURA. Hats off to the director for trying something new... oops not the story, but i meant the screenplay. A typical film for Vijay fans. Although i am not a Vijay fan, I admire him. Lots of senti in the film. Looks like ladies will like it for sure. Nothing can come near my God's next movie.... "Chandramukhi".

A Weekend to remember

It was indeed a long weekend for me and a weekend to remember for the rest of my life. I went on a vacation (or rather an extended picnic) to Vizag. My uncle called up my family to join in his house warming and thats all the reason I needed to enjoy a fabulous weekend in and around Vizag. Here are my visits on a daily basis from saturday to Tuesday. Saturday: We went to a place called Simmachalam where Lord Narashimha is famous for, followed by another Sai Seer Mutt. Sunday: It was the house warming day. In the evening we went to Kailasha giri, where lord Shiva and Parvathi's statues are made of white stone and kept in an open place. It is a sort of hangout for the Vizagans and since it is on a hill top, we could have a view of whole Vizag city in the evening with lights. Really worth spending time there and get yourself relaxed. Monday: This was a full day trip planned to go for only 2 places. One is Arukku which is a Hill station (probably like Yercaud, not anywhere ...
