Trip of my life - 1

Here is a series again. It is gonna explain the great experience I had at Orlando, Florida in the long weekend of 2nd, 3rd and 4th of September, 2006. Please quit reading the series right away as I am going to praise about myself and the tour more rather than the place itself. Those ready for the journey, I pray to God for your well being.

1st Sep, 11:30 AM: Phone call from Badri. "Machi, kelambalam vaa". I just set my automatic out of office reply saying "I will be out of office for the rest of the day. If there is anything urgent, please contact XXX". escapeeeeeeeee

11:45 AM: Chill wheather outside the office. The body needs a warmer place. Soms said "The taxis generally stand over there. We shall cross." We then hired a taxi and directed to airport.

12:30 PM: Checkin formalities followed by lunch and chatting session until we boarded the flight at 2:30.

8:00 PM: Arrival at Orlando and renting of car.

9:00 PM: Arrival at the resort where we stayed.

Travelers hint at USA:
If you are travelling to different places in USA, just make sure either you learn driving and get licence or (just like me) make sure you travel along with a driver (ayyo Soms, Vish, Magesh and Manish forgive please). This is most needed because you have something called rental center in each airport. You may rent a car for specified number of days and return back. It will be very expensive if you rely on call taxi and it will be time consuming if you rely on public transport.

Thats all for today... More to come....

Qualification

As promised in my last blog, i discuss on the qualification needed for software industry in the present world. I disclose at this point of time that it is purely my vision on the industry and nothing to do with pointing against other's opinions. Most of the companies while recruiting freshers only prefer ENGINEERING graduates to any other arts or science grads. I just had to do some sort of analysis before i blogged about it and indeed did some ground work for the same. I contacted some of my college and school friends who are now working in various MNCs as software engineers/programmers/analysts etc... Sunny, My friend, as i said in my previous blog is a Math grad. When a Software company calls for freshers, it is a clear point that they mention "Candidates with excellent academic records and aptitude and attidue are needed". But they still stick to the point that they need only ENGG grads for those posts. If at all they need other grads, they specify the...

Thiruppachi!!!!

Yesterday night show I went to Thiruppachi. Hmmm atleast this time around i didnt feel bored. Definitely this film is better than MADHURA. Hats off to the director for trying something new... oops not the story, but i meant the screenplay. A typical film for Vijay fans. Although i am not a Vijay fan, I admire him. Lots of senti in the film. Looks like ladies will like it for sure. Nothing can come near my God's next movie.... "Chandramukhi".

A Weekend to remember

It was indeed a long weekend for me and a weekend to remember for the rest of my life. I went on a vacation (or rather an extended picnic) to Vizag. My uncle called up my family to join in his house warming and thats all the reason I needed to enjoy a fabulous weekend in and around Vizag. Here are my visits on a daily basis from saturday to Tuesday. Saturday: We went to a place called Simmachalam where Lord Narashimha is famous for, followed by another Sai Seer Mutt. Sunday: It was the house warming day. In the evening we went to Kailasha giri, where lord Shiva and Parvathi's statues are made of white stone and kept in an open place. It is a sort of hangout for the Vizagans and since it is on a hill top, we could have a view of whole Vizag city in the evening with lights. Really worth spending time there and get yourself relaxed. Monday: This was a full day trip planned to go for only 2 places. One is Arukku which is a Hill station (probably like Yercaud, not anywhere ...
