Trip of my life - 2

If you are expecting day 2 details, I am sorry. I already warned you. We started as 6 from Pittsburgh. I didnt forget to introduce you the folks in first (episode?). Its a new style :-P. Here is the list. Me, Badri, Subbu, Magesh, Soms and Manish. Karthik started about 2 hours before us as he booked tickets in a different time than us. Totally there were 7 of us.

Once reached the resort, no one was in a mood to take rest. All of us were hungry and each of us had noted while we came into the resort itself that there was a Chinese buffet restaurent just outside the resort. We all walked straight into the restaurent cum bar and everyone had what they wanted. As you folks know, I am a vegetarian and had limited options. I drank what I would usually and we were all done by 11:00 PM.

Just because we all wanted to start early by 8:30 AM itself to Universal Studios to avoid rush, everyone half heartedly went to bed by 1:00AM after all the hangovers.

2nd Sep, 2006 - Universal Studios:
Till the point I was into Universal studios, I was under the notion that it is a place where film shooting is taken and it is going to be a long day there without much fun. Poor fellow I am. Neither do I have any of my friends visit Universal Studios from them nor was I interested to look into the website for details.

The sun was blazing down very hard and it would have been around 97 degree Fahernheit (approx 37 degrees celcius). The worst part is, the humidity was low as opposed to what we have in coastal India. I am used to even 45 degrees at Chennai, but it would be humid. I now felt the difference of heat in equitorial region and a polar region. I have read about the intensity of UV rays in the polar regions but really felt it only on that day. It was totally surpising to us as the prediction was something else (read 2 postings back).

Nonetheless, time to enjoy. No looking back. Sun or Rain, we are ready to relish and make the moments very happy (not to mention the $s we spent). All set for a great day of entertainment and fun for body, soul and eyes (ohooo).

Qualification

As promised in my last blog, i discuss on the qualification needed for software industry in the present world. I disclose at this point of time that it is purely my vision on the industry and nothing to do with pointing against other's opinions. Most of the companies while recruiting freshers only prefer ENGINEERING graduates to any other arts or science grads. I just had to do some sort of analysis before i blogged about it and indeed did some ground work for the same. I contacted some of my college and school friends who are now working in various MNCs as software engineers/programmers/analysts etc... Sunny, My friend, as i said in my previous blog is a Math grad. When a Software company calls for freshers, it is a clear point that they mention "Candidates with excellent academic records and aptitude and attidue are needed". But they still stick to the point that they need only ENGG grads for those posts. If at all they need other grads, they specify the...

Thiruppachi!!!!

Yesterday night show I went to Thiruppachi. Hmmm atleast this time around i didnt feel bored. Definitely this film is better than MADHURA. Hats off to the director for trying something new... oops not the story, but i meant the screenplay. A typical film for Vijay fans. Although i am not a Vijay fan, I admire him. Lots of senti in the film. Looks like ladies will like it for sure. Nothing can come near my God's next movie.... "Chandramukhi".

A Weekend to remember

It was indeed a long weekend for me and a weekend to remember for the rest of my life. I went on a vacation (or rather an extended picnic) to Vizag. My uncle called up my family to join in his house warming and thats all the reason I needed to enjoy a fabulous weekend in and around Vizag. Here are my visits on a daily basis from saturday to Tuesday. Saturday: We went to a place called Simmachalam where Lord Narashimha is famous for, followed by another Sai Seer Mutt. Sunday: It was the house warming day. In the evening we went to Kailasha giri, where lord Shiva and Parvathi's statues are made of white stone and kept in an open place. It is a sort of hangout for the Vizagans and since it is on a hill top, we could have a view of whole Vizag city in the evening with lights. Really worth spending time there and get yourself relaxed. Monday: This was a full day trip planned to go for only 2 places. One is Arukku which is a Hill station (probably like Yercaud, not anywhere ...
