Trip of my life - 3

It was a long queue at the entrance. We were smart enough (naan irukkum bothu smartness ku enna koraichal?) and had purchased the ticket online expecting such a crowd. We skipped all the crowd waiting to buy tickets and entered directly with our online tickets.

Traveler hint:
There are automatic online ticket machines avaialble outside the studios. One has to make his identity clear (by inserting credit card) and type the online ticket number. Then you will automatically get the tickets from the machine.

There are 2 parks or zones in the Universal studios. One will be Film zone and other is adventure zone. We first went into the film zone and enjoyed many rides there. Most of the rides here are simulations of the movies produced by Universal Studios. Some sample would be Shrek, Mummy and Jurassic Park.

Shrek was a 4D movie (wondering whats 4D?). We all are familiar on 3D. 4D is the smell and feel dimension of movies. So in the film, when a person is feeling water is poured over him, you will also be feeling the same. Water will be poured over you. If heavy wind blows in the film, then the blowers near you will get activated.

Several exciting rides were present. There was also a simulation of tornado and also earthquake. It was really a different and good experience in all at the movie zone. Time for a break. Lets call Drinks... Cheers.

Qualification

As promised in my last blog, i discuss on the qualification needed for software industry in the present world. I disclose at this point of time that it is purely my vision on the industry and nothing to do with pointing against other's opinions. Most of the companies while recruiting freshers only prefer ENGINEERING graduates to any other arts or science grads. I just had to do some sort of analysis before i blogged about it and indeed did some ground work for the same. I contacted some of my college and school friends who are now working in various MNCs as software engineers/programmers/analysts etc... Sunny, My friend, as i said in my previous blog is a Math grad. When a Software company calls for freshers, it is a clear point that they mention "Candidates with excellent academic records and aptitude and attidue are needed". But they still stick to the point that they need only ENGG grads for those posts. If at all they need other grads, they specify the...

Thiruppachi!!!!

Yesterday night show I went to Thiruppachi. Hmmm atleast this time around i didnt feel bored. Definitely this film is better than MADHURA. Hats off to the director for trying something new... oops not the story, but i meant the screenplay. A typical film for Vijay fans. Although i am not a Vijay fan, I admire him. Lots of senti in the film. Looks like ladies will like it for sure. Nothing can come near my God's next movie.... "Chandramukhi".

A Weekend to remember

It was indeed a long weekend for me and a weekend to remember for the rest of my life. I went on a vacation (or rather an extended picnic) to Vizag. My uncle called up my family to join in his house warming and thats all the reason I needed to enjoy a fabulous weekend in and around Vizag. Here are my visits on a daily basis from saturday to Tuesday. Saturday: We went to a place called Simmachalam where Lord Narashimha is famous for, followed by another Sai Seer Mutt. Sunday: It was the house warming day. In the evening we went to Kailasha giri, where lord Shiva and Parvathi's statues are made of white stone and kept in an open place. It is a sort of hangout for the Vizagans and since it is on a hill top, we could have a view of whole Vizag city in the evening with lights. Really worth spending time there and get yourself relaxed. Monday: This was a full day trip planned to go for only 2 places. One is Arukku which is a Hill station (probably like Yercaud, not anywhere ...
