Team outing to Kuttralam and Kanyakumari - 4

The leisure zone was supposed to be a good 1.5 to 2 KM walk along the hilly (or mountainy?) area filled with some statues in the way. They gave a paper which directed us and had 20 different statues. At last this turned out to be a walking for us after some mediocre lunch. Everyone was exhausted by then. Not a happy place we visited, but still no missing with enjoyment and fun. At last we directed back to the cottage where we had the luggage, packed it back and pointed the van to go directly to Kanya Kumari.

By that time mostly all were exhausted but little conversations/arguments were going on side by side and we had all planned to get Halwa in Tinrunelveli which was en-route to Kanyakumari. Especially all were interested to buy IRUTTU KADAI halwa which is very famous. Once that was done, a huge baggage of halwa also joined our trip's luggage. The ride then started with a trigger of ANTAKSHARI. It went on and on and on until every throat was out of water (thonda thanni vathi poguthu solluvanga illa, athaan :-)). We had planned to have dinner at Amjath's home. So the outskirts of Kanyakumari reached, we had him direct the van to his home. It was a nice village. Since it was almost 9:30 PM, We couldnt afford some time at Amjath's village or home.

We had never expected to have such a great dinner. Two different preparations for Veggies as well as Non-Veggies was done. They had served tiffin also as an option. We all were really stunned on Amjath's parents hospitality. I am assuring you guys that at all you are coming to my home for dinner, you will have to help yourself. Chance a illa pa.... excellent samayal. After filling the stomach, with tough determination, all started to a hotel in Kanyakumari for stay.

Amjath's father Mr. Chandran was accompanying us to get the room. He is a fireman with a great influence in Kanyakumari. Wherever be the place he goes, hotel, tea shop, railway station, bus stand, whatever, he is being recognized by everyone. In fact during the time of Tsunami, he was involved in saving several people's lives. I also heared that his place of being was not known to his family for 3 weeks after Tsunami. Such was his help. To be frank, I could never believe that his profession is fireman. Boy he is too simple.

After getting into the room alarm in everyone's mobile phone was set to 5:00 AM, to watch the most popular sunrise view in Kanyakumari...

Qualification

As promised in my last blog, i discuss on the qualification needed for software industry in the present world. I disclose at this point of time that it is purely my vision on the industry and nothing to do with pointing against other's opinions. Most of the companies while recruiting freshers only prefer ENGINEERING graduates to any other arts or science grads. I just had to do some sort of analysis before i blogged about it and indeed did some ground work for the same. I contacted some of my college and school friends who are now working in various MNCs as software engineers/programmers/analysts etc... Sunny, My friend, as i said in my previous blog is a Math grad. When a Software company calls for freshers, it is a clear point that they mention "Candidates with excellent academic records and aptitude and attidue are needed". But they still stick to the point that they need only ENGG grads for those posts. If at all they need other grads, they specify the...

Thiruppachi!!!!

Yesterday night show I went to Thiruppachi. Hmmm atleast this time around i didnt feel bored. Definitely this film is better than MADHURA. Hats off to the director for trying something new... oops not the story, but i meant the screenplay. A typical film for Vijay fans. Although i am not a Vijay fan, I admire him. Lots of senti in the film. Looks like ladies will like it for sure. Nothing can come near my God's next movie.... "Chandramukhi".

A Weekend to remember

It was indeed a long weekend for me and a weekend to remember for the rest of my life. I went on a vacation (or rather an extended picnic) to Vizag. My uncle called up my family to join in his house warming and thats all the reason I needed to enjoy a fabulous weekend in and around Vizag. Here are my visits on a daily basis from saturday to Tuesday. Saturday: We went to a place called Simmachalam where Lord Narashimha is famous for, followed by another Sai Seer Mutt. Sunday: It was the house warming day. In the evening we went to Kailasha giri, where lord Shiva and Parvathi's statues are made of white stone and kept in an open place. It is a sort of hangout for the Vizagans and since it is on a hill top, we could have a view of whole Vizag city in the evening with lights. Really worth spending time there and get yourself relaxed. Monday: This was a full day trip planned to go for only 2 places. One is Arukku which is a Hill station (probably like Yercaud, not anywhere ...
