Team outing to Kuttralam and Kanyakumari - 6

Good breakfast made everyone fresh except me and Vijay. After taking a heavy breakfast, I was feeling very tired and sleepy. The original plan was to go to Suseendram, where a temple for lord Hanumanji is there. Most of you know that Hanumanji is my favourite God and would in fact scold me by reading this. Yes, I missed going there and went directly to room and slept nicely. In the mean while the rest 7 went to Susendram and had a nice darshan. It seems that they also went to a Thennai mara pannai (a place where plenty of coconut trees are grown) and had a feast of cocunut water (Ilanir).

Once they were back, we all went to Vivekanda Rock and Tiruvalluvar Statue. It costs Rs. 20 for each to cover these 2 places by boat. There is no other route. We have to reach there only by boat. It was an exciting trip in boat. It is quite a big boat ridden by motor and can carry about 200 people in a ride. Even standing is allowed. Naturally, as you expect, I was standing when I boarded the boat. We first reached Vivekananda Rock. There is a foot mark of an Amman here and a place to do meditation. Believe me the place to do meditation is very silent and I couldnt hear even the sound of sea waves. Each of us sat for 10 mins and came out. Plenty of snaps with different combination of people and backgrounds. Then we went to Tiruvalluvar statue. Snaps again there and that meant that the trip has almost wrapped up.

Once we were back to the shore, hunger struck everyone as it was almost 2:30 PM. A good lunch followed by purchase of various items followed. The time we has was very less as the train was scheduled at 5:30 PM. So after all the purchases, we went back to the hotel room and wrapped it up. Amjath's father with his influence got us the room rent to be reduced. One more help from a great man. We really owe a lot to him in this trip. At last everyone reached the station and the journey towards Chennai started.... The normal routine is back in position now....
If you have really read all the 6 postings fully, why dont you comment on my blog? You had time to read such a mokkai story... just spend some time scribbling a comment also. :-)

Qualification

As promised in my last blog, i discuss on the qualification needed for software industry in the present world. I disclose at this point of time that it is purely my vision on the industry and nothing to do with pointing against other's opinions. Most of the companies while recruiting freshers only prefer ENGINEERING graduates to any other arts or science grads. I just had to do some sort of analysis before i blogged about it and indeed did some ground work for the same. I contacted some of my college and school friends who are now working in various MNCs as software engineers/programmers/analysts etc... Sunny, My friend, as i said in my previous blog is a Math grad. When a Software company calls for freshers, it is a clear point that they mention "Candidates with excellent academic records and aptitude and attidue are needed". But they still stick to the point that they need only ENGG grads for those posts. If at all they need other grads, they specify the...

Thiruppachi!!!!

Yesterday night show I went to Thiruppachi. Hmmm atleast this time around i didnt feel bored. Definitely this film is better than MADHURA. Hats off to the director for trying something new... oops not the story, but i meant the screenplay. A typical film for Vijay fans. Although i am not a Vijay fan, I admire him. Lots of senti in the film. Looks like ladies will like it for sure. Nothing can come near my God's next movie.... "Chandramukhi".

A Weekend to remember

It was indeed a long weekend for me and a weekend to remember for the rest of my life. I went on a vacation (or rather an extended picnic) to Vizag. My uncle called up my family to join in his house warming and thats all the reason I needed to enjoy a fabulous weekend in and around Vizag. Here are my visits on a daily basis from saturday to Tuesday. Saturday: We went to a place called Simmachalam where Lord Narashimha is famous for, followed by another Sai Seer Mutt. Sunday: It was the house warming day. In the evening we went to Kailasha giri, where lord Shiva and Parvathi's statues are made of white stone and kept in an open place. It is a sort of hangout for the Vizagans and since it is on a hill top, we could have a view of whole Vizag city in the evening with lights. Really worth spending time there and get yourself relaxed. Monday: This was a full day trip planned to go for only 2 places. One is Arukku which is a Hill station (probably like Yercaud, not anywhere ...
