Team outing to Kuttralam and Kanyakumari - 5

But in my room we 3 had already planned to see the Argentina VS Ivory Coast first round Football (for US fellas Soccer) match. The match was at 12:30 AM but the time in the clock only showed 11:00 PM. So we went out for a walk. The breeze from the sea shore flowed all over the place and it was a pleasent walk. The whole day's story flew in my mind and believe me, I would have blogged at that time had I been provided with an opportunity. Well, it wasnt there. So we can forget that.

After returning back, the match was on. But my 2 team mates Amjath and Vijay were off by 12:30 and 12:45 respectively. I alone watched the game till halftime and was out by 1:15. Sudden sound of an alarm was all I could hear when Amjath called "Thalai, ezhunthurunga... mani 5:00 aayiduchu. Seekram". Thats it. The sleep was over. But my body pulled me down again and again. With great grit and determination, I managed to pull out from bed and get ready to see the sunrise.

Five of us Vijay, Ashok, Bhavesh, Bala and myself went to a place behind the hotel which would take us some 400 metres inside the sea and caught the beautiful sight of sunrise. I had been to Marina at least a couple of time hoping to catch the sunrise. But it isnt as good or clear as in Kanyakumari. Last time around I had missed out the scenic beauty as there were clouds surrounded. But this time, it wasnt the case. We had a very good view of the same. Thanks to nature. The photo here was taken by Bala.... beautiful isnt it?

After the sunrise, we went directly to Bagavathi Amman temple where we had a very good darshan of the Amman. The speciality here is Amman has a very bright nose ring which is supposed to be made of diamond. Of course the brightness off the nose ring is now being shown with a small oil lamp (thiri vilakku pa, not sure what to write). The story behind this was that there was an arakkan who had more power when sun god was not present i.e. in the night. So the Amman had wore a diamond nose ring and with its power had fought with him and killed him. After darshan everyone's stomach had its call. Breakfast time....

Qualification

As promised in my last blog, i discuss on the qualification needed for software industry in the present world. I disclose at this point of time that it is purely my vision on the industry and nothing to do with pointing against other's opinions. Most of the companies while recruiting freshers only prefer ENGINEERING graduates to any other arts or science grads. I just had to do some sort of analysis before i blogged about it and indeed did some ground work for the same. I contacted some of my college and school friends who are now working in various MNCs as software engineers/programmers/analysts etc... Sunny, My friend, as i said in my previous blog is a Math grad. When a Software company calls for freshers, it is a clear point that they mention "Candidates with excellent academic records and aptitude and attidue are needed". But they still stick to the point that they need only ENGG grads for those posts. If at all they need other grads, they specify the...

Thiruppachi!!!!

Yesterday night show I went to Thiruppachi. Hmmm atleast this time around i didnt feel bored. Definitely this film is better than MADHURA. Hats off to the director for trying something new... oops not the story, but i meant the screenplay. A typical film for Vijay fans. Although i am not a Vijay fan, I admire him. Lots of senti in the film. Looks like ladies will like it for sure. Nothing can come near my God's next movie.... "Chandramukhi".

A Weekend to remember

It was indeed a long weekend for me and a weekend to remember for the rest of my life. I went on a vacation (or rather an extended picnic) to Vizag. My uncle called up my family to join in his house warming and thats all the reason I needed to enjoy a fabulous weekend in and around Vizag. Here are my visits on a daily basis from saturday to Tuesday. Saturday: We went to a place called Simmachalam where Lord Narashimha is famous for, followed by another Sai Seer Mutt. Sunday: It was the house warming day. In the evening we went to Kailasha giri, where lord Shiva and Parvathi's statues are made of white stone and kept in an open place. It is a sort of hangout for the Vizagans and since it is on a hill top, we could have a view of whole Vizag city in the evening with lights. Really worth spending time there and get yourself relaxed. Monday: This was a full day trip planned to go for only 2 places. One is Arukku which is a Hill station (probably like Yercaud, not anywhere ...
